Sounds to me like you're describing an Aerobie.

Yeah, sounds like an Aerobie alright. I had an Aerobie boomerang; that thing flew for miles (it seemed) and then came back and smacked you in the face!

We have the boomrang (called the Orbiter), but have yet to use it.

They are awesome.  Simple, but cool.  Just make sure you have lots of room to throw it and are ready to run!!

It sounds like an x-box, or maybe a trampoline. Could be a pair of water skis or possibly a Barbie Dream House.

Easy Bake Oven?

You had a ja-ba?  Luxury!

When I was growing up, we played with only a couple of rocks, and we used to bang our fingers in between them.

And we liked it that way!
Bitten by the cabinet bug... obsessing ever since.

We weren't allowed to play with the rocks.  They were too fancy and newfangled.

In college we would use those Aerobies and play a really stupid game of chicken.  We would stand at the end of the hallway and allow people to throw them at our heads.  Yeah well.....  the vegetation was very smokie and we just played.  ;)
