Tempest Cabaret for restoring rant

I don't deny that a Tempest cabaret cabinet is rarer than the full sized version, but it doesn't have that same distinctive shape & sideart.  And if you did want to restore it you would have to obtain:
1. the color vector monitor
2. the Tempest PCBs
3. a cabaret control panel, complete with controls & artwork
4. the cabaret marquee

In other words, almost the whole damn cabinet save for some scraps of plywood with tacky wood grain.  You'd be better off leaving it Fantasy 95 and putting it back in the bar where it belongs.
MAME Projects % completed:
2004 3 sided cocktail cabinet w/ modular CP <25% (discarded)
2004 Tempest cabinet & CP > 75% (sold)
2017 Raspberry Pi Zero W w/ Lakka microconsole 50%
2021 Vertical Bartop - in progress > 80%, 100% functional (sleeping)

I don't see your problem.  It's at $49.  That is worth it for a nice cabaret even if it's completely empty.  The fact that it used to be a Tempest is just a small bonus.  There are people out there that have the parts lying around, or maybe in another cab until they could find this one.

That Fantasy 49 looks interesting.   ;D

I actually know a guy locally who's been looking for a Tempest cabaret, but I expect that one's too far away.
