  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
X-Arcade solo with mamewah
« on: August 29, 2005, 11:52:05 am »
This is probably been beat to death but I have been through the posts several times and seem to be getting more confused.  How do I set up the xarcade controller.  Do I set it up once in mamewah? Once for each emulator? Or do I have to for each game?  I know there is supposed to be support for this controller in the emulators.

I am building a cabinet for my son for his birthday next month and need to figure this thing stuff out.

If anyone can help or just direct me to a novice post it would be appreciated.

I will try to set up from scratch tonight using mamewah config but I am not sure if it goes into the controller set up or not.

Thanks to all for your help.

You need to setup everything you want to use the controller with.  For Mamewah, this means editing \ctrlr\default.ini (you need to map num.pad keys instead of arrows) - see \docs\ctrlr.txt for help.

For MAME you need to set 'ctrlr xarcade' in your \mame\mame.ini file. For other emulators chances are you'll need to setup the keys manually.
