CPO/Marquee Gundam Based, first attempt
« on: August 28, 2005, 06:52:35 pm »
Here is my first attempt at creating a CPO/Marquee in photoshop. Artwork for my cab is Gundam based, or "Mech" based. Not the most advaced work but I like it. Please let m know what you think, and where would the best place to get this printed, I would like to do it at kinkos but Ive heard a lot of horror stories, it would be nice to not have to ship this out as I would like to be able to Drill my controls in as soon as possible. I will post pics of the cab in the project announcements sometime soon. thanks everyone

CPO

Marquee

Looks great, a close up of the work would be good so we can see the detail.

Did you design the characters yourself or are they from a specific anime or something?

I would recomend mamemarquee to get your stuff printed, very friendly guy and I think is a good gesture to keep this whole community going, Scott will give a hoot about the finished product not like the people at kinkos.

I just put up a bit of a tutorial in the artwork section regarding applying artork so hopefully it can help you when u get to that stage.

It does look nice!  If it were going on my cab the only change I would make is to make the text on the marquee a little more prominant.

As far as having it printed try calling around to your local print shops.  Kinko's will charge you an arm and a leg, and their quality is suspect.  Any of the "Mom & Pop" operations should be able to offer better service and comparable pricing.  Let them know you have a poster sized photoshop file and you're looking for a quote.  If t hey can't accomodate you they probably know someone who can.
