What size is my WG monitor?
« on: August 22, 2005, 12:45:18 pm »
I have a Well-Gardner K7000 monitor, now i was under the impression that it was a 25" screen, but i measured the screen the other day, from top right to bottm left, and the measurement i got was just over 26 and a half inches (68cm)!!!. How is this, i thought 25" was the largest size they did in this model, and i know they dont do half inch measurements, or 26" screens infact. So what size monitor do i have??

My 19" WG says 19K4616 on its sticker.  Do you see a 2 digit number preceeding the K?  Maybe that would be your size.

Viewable area.

Not tube size.

I.e. a 27" american monitor is called a 29" in japan because they measure the tube size instead of the viewable area.

The first two digits on the model number sticker is the screen size. There were a few 27" k7000's made. Look also at the numbers on the picture tube. If it starts out "A63....." it's a 25" tube. If it starts out with "A68......" it's a 27".

Yup the A63 in the tube number confirms it. You have a 25" tube.
