Best 25" arcade monitor for Andy's new card?
« on: January 03, 2003, 09:55:26 pm »
I may soon be getting a Jamma cabinet with a standard resolution monitor already installed.  I'm assuming I'm going to have to replace it with another monitor for Andy's new video card.  Any suggestions as far as a particular replacement?

The reason why Andy is making these cards is to support Std Res arcade monitors (15khz).  He may also support Med Rez (25khz) but I'm not really sure.  So just hold out for the card and get your cab ready.

Yeah, a lot of us are running our Mame cabinets on standard res monitors.  It's totally rad, but requires a bunch of effort to make it work.  Andy's new card is supposed to take most of the effort out of running Mame with the arcade monitor.

If you ask me, running Mame on an actual arcade monitor is the coolest thing in the world.  You're in luck, too, because you have the right monitor for your cab already.
