  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
1. install mame... easy enough
2. start - run -         \\(your mame folders path here)\mame.exe -cc
3. open the new file "mame.ini" under your mame folder.
4.add

"skip_disclaimer 1
skip_gameinfo 1
skip_validitychecks 1"

to the bottom

all done!

it was a pain to get that working for me. now i hope to help the other poor poor children who were in the same situation...

Welcome.  Good job finding those in the mame.ini.  But to get rid of the ok screen, you should read this.  Everyone should!

btw, that only takes care of a portion of the problems... sure the main ones... but its the others that cause most of the problems (the missing a rom or no known valid dumps is really the killer for most... because its before the mame window starts and its in the original window... and this kills almost every frontend out there.)

but don't forget the left/right wiggle.

The link I posted covers all bases.  -ftr 1 or -skip_warnings will currently get you past both screens.

My FE can handle it, but it would be slightly quicker (& from my point of view cleaner) if it didn't have to.
