Just took delivery of a new vector telescope, brilliant!
it just keeps zooming in, had a look at "the other side" of our galaxy last night, theres all lot going down over there, looks like they were right about a few things, aliens, heaven etc, they're all there, my god this thing is so good you can see infinity off in the distance. It says on the box that when you get past infinity you come back to where you started. No big deal if youve done it with a fractal.
The one thing that bothers me is the turning motion of our damn planet, you get focused on some alien bedroom window, and you blink, next thing you know you're pointing a gizziliion kergillion chichillion miles away.
That sucks, although there is an equatorial train and track system upgrade that allows the vector teloscope and the user to ride in the opposite direction and at the same speed as the earths motion. It does'nt sound like enough to me.. what about our rotation around the sun, do experts have extra kit to counter this.
Anyway, am gonna gaff tape the digital camera to the eyepiece tonight, will do all sky, planets, solar systems, galaxys over ireland.
Will 3 megapixels be enough ?. Tried this method at coldplay gig recently, eyepiece of domestic binoculars fit over digital camera lens perfectly... score, if only the new one had arrived by then.
