Blank Screen When Installing ArcadeVGA

anyone else had this problem - whenever i boot up xp with my arcadevga installed i get about 2 minutes of windows xp on screen then the screen goes blank (black). System then has to be restarted.

is this likely to be a driver issue and will they need installing in Safe Mode first?
