another non working monitor!!

i just bought a 25" wells gardner 25k7194, i hooked up in my cab, and got nothing display in the image, just all black, i noticed that there arent any spark light inside the end of the tube, where the neckboard connected to, the neck board doesnt connect loose to the tube or anything it fit tightly..the reason i mention this is that i can see those little spark light in my working monitor..and i dont think the electric go into the monitor, usually when i turn on my working monitor, i can hear a pop sound from the monitor, this one doesnt make any sound..can someone suggest me what should i do?thx

First thing to do is get a volt meter and see if power is present at the monitor power connector in the cabinet's wiring harness. If it is then look on the monitor main circuit board for the carefully hidden fuse in the back corner of the board to see if it is blown. If it is blown then you would be well advised to have a professional repair the monitor.

i think the electric does go into the connector, because i accidently touched the black and white wire coming from the chassis that supposed to connected to the isolation transformer, and it shocked me, because it does have any plastic or tape grap about the connector end..and how do i know if the fuse was blown? thx

im thinking to take out the tube and put it in my working monitor, since they are very similar to each other, both are 25", the one that not working is a 25k7194 and the one that working is 25k7193, and the model number is exactly the same, and  deflection angle look the same too. the only differences is serial number, are the serial numbers suppose to match each other in order to swap tube? or im good to go? thanks

update: i just found out  that the fuse on the monitor is blown..and since the non working monitor and my working monitor are pretty close model,non-working is 25k7194 and working is 25k7193 and they have both same fuse 250v 2A, so i replace the fuse from the working monitor to the dead one, then i turn on the monitor, gess what the fuse is blown again..now both of my monitor are not working.. help plaese

The monitor that blew the fuse needs a professional to repair it. It is beyond your capability to safely repair it yourself. Call a professional NOW.

for the working monitor, can i just replace any slow blow or fast blow 2A 250V fuse into it? since it working just fine..

The working monitor uses a 2 amp SLO-BLO fuse only. Do not substitute any other kind or type. If you are near a Radio Shack store then buy Radio Shack catalog number 270-1023 fuses as these are the exact replacements you need.

Monitors are NOT the first electronics project you should tackle. First try some things with NONLETHAL voltages.
(Learn about voltmeters and how to use them, caps, transistors, and resistors before hand)
