AdvanceMAME and ATI Rage LT Pro?
« on: August 12, 2005, 11:31:05 am »
I looked at the DOS video card list for AdvanceMAME here:

http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/doc-carddos.html

And it SEEMS to list the vid card in my potential MAME system: ATI Rage LT Pro AGP 2X, onboard Compaq Presario 5155.  But, it's not one of the "most recommended!" AdvanceMAME cards obviously.

How hard will it be to SAFELY set up AdvanceMAME to work with a 19" arcade monitor, with a card like this?  I just want to get all the info before I risk my (though crappy) monitor, since if you don't always feed them 15kHz, bad things happen!  Basically my system will only be running classic 80's vertical games (Pac, Galaga, Frogger etc.)  So I might not need any advanced or crazy modes.  If this card would be fine to use for my purposes, that would be really great, since I'd already have my MAME system basically for free (other than interfacing).  And this box has no AGP expansion slot, sadly.  Well, thanks.
