monitor shelf supports
« on: August 11, 2005, 12:34:20 pm »
I've lucked upon a 21" monitor for my cabinet and have a quesiton about how to best install/support it. The monitor weighs approx 80 pounds. I don't want to put screws from the outside of the cabinet through the 3/4" MDF into the shelf mounting boards but I don't see how else to properly support the weight of the monitor.

If I put in 10-15 screws throgh the 2x4 that holds the shelf into each side of the cabinet will that be enough?

What works best?
