Who's your favorite band/artist?
« on: August 06, 2005, 09:13:02 am »
I'm always looking for good new music.  I just love hearing new bands.  Who's your current favorite?

I'll start.  Mine is an upcoming band called Paranoid Social Club.  They are kind of difficult to describe.  They are kind of like party rock, with songs about girls, beer, and being rock stars.  Their website (linked above) has streaming songs and a downloadable full MP3.  My other favorites are Days of the New, Nirvana, Soul Coughing/Mike Doughty, and As Fast As (another upcoming band).

Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Spiritual Beggars, Freak Kitchen, and maybe some Fozzy.

Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Spiritual Beggars, Freak Kitchen, and maybe some Fozzy.  Then go back and listen to Judas Priest right from the first album on.  Forget that grunge stuff, or you'll be listening to country before you know it.

WORD!  8)

As an added note: I've lost 4 friends to 'country', and all of them listened to RADIO music in our formative years.  Those of us who liked the hard stuff are still KEEPING THE FAITH!

Wouldn't that make you Defenders Of The Faith? ;)

Hmmm. Man, this is tough. I'd have to say the Clash, The Stooges, The Buzzcocks, and Television are equal on my list.
I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...

I'll second that!

And add a Mary's Danish.  Not so new, but still my most listened-to music.
