Any advice for cleaning monitor?
« on: August 04, 2005, 05:45:58 am »
I've finally gotten my monitor out of my cab and it's incredibly dirty back there - i want to clean it out, but are there any warnings or advice you can give me? e.g. dont dust off a certain component.
I know the basics, dont touch the capacitors (unless discharged) and stay away from the anode cap.. anything else?

I'd maybe try contact cleaner or compressed air if it's just dust. But don't quote me on that.
Now in a tasty new flavour.

I use a clean paintbrush.

Works wonders.

Thanks guys =D Just cleaned up my small 10" monitor and it still works (miracle hehe), the thing was absolutely covered in black .. dirt? looked like it was attracted to all the areas that would give off a strong magnetic field.. anyway, looks good now =)
