go to anything good lately?

I think the last show I went to was the ROH steel cage match, where Jack Evans did a double 450 off the top of the cage. I actually thought he was going to die.

Also, I went to a punk show the other day wearing my samoa joe shirt, and someguy thought Samoa Joe was a band  ???

I hit some Chaotic shows, they always put on a high quality show.  I try to see ROH whenever they're up here but it's only once or twice a year.  Other than that, most of the shows I go to are small indy shows, lower quality but still fun for $10 admission.   :)

Oh, yes, that's not too far, I live by Gilette Stadium.  There are a couple other BYOACers closer to you than I am, as well.  I would definitely recommend Chaotic, they have a great lineup of regulars, occasionally get top guys like Low Ki for a short run, and they have a working relationship with the WWE.  Top quality stuff.

...and here I was thikning I was all in-the-know just because I knew the drama behind Edge, Matt Hardy, and Lita. :)

I only keep up on WWE myself, just Raw at that. (Smackdown = meh)...  Friends and I make a trek once in a while to PPVs.  Saw No Way Out in Montreal a couple of years back, saw Wrestlemania 18 in Toronto, and hit MSG for Wrestlemania XX (I *loved* NYC, by the way...)

I also check out the local fed once in a while (CPW), but I've gone less and less lately, just because of my schedule....

Point me in the place to download indy vids, and I'll proabbly have my HD full before you know it.

I agree, i think smackdown is unbearable. and on Raw really the only thing watchable is the Micheals/Hogan fued. but, hardy, and jericho are both pretty good. I am looking forward to summerslam though

i think www.obsessedwithwrestling.com is a good place to start
also the messageboards at www.rohwrestling.com have some cool stuff in the way of videos

i order a lot of dvds from http://www.puroresudvdsource.com

also it looks like www.wrestlingemporium.com has a nice selection although i've never gotten anything from there

i ordered http://www.rfvideo.com/merchant/index.cfm?action=moreinfo&id=2780 that tape from rfvideo and they sent me the wrong tape, something from IWA midsouth, like cmpunk vs eddie guerrero

I actually ordered the ECW payperview last month and really enjoyed it... has anyone heard anything about hardcorehomecoming? It looks like it was a good show, i might order the dvd (http://www.hardcorehomecoming.com)

The Hogan Michaels feud is a waste of resources.  Of ALL the guys on that roster, the young guys who could really get some elevation by working a program with Hulk Hogan, they give that heat to someone nearly as old?  I'm tired of having Michaels shoved down my throat.  It's almost enough to want HHH back.  Cena would have really benefitted from this situation, he's gone ice cold since he got to Raw.

It doesn't matter WHY he is around, he has come right out and told us why he is around.  What matters is who works with him while he is here and it is a waste to have Michaels work with him.  No one will gain anything from it and Michaels will do everything he can to subtly reduce Hogan's legacy while increasing his own.

The company would have gained a lot more by having someone else work with Hogan.

Well, the resolution to killing off Hassan seemed like it would be of interest.  I feel bad for that guy.  Talk about being given the wrong gimmick at the wrong time by the writers.  They may as well send him to work at Burger King now.

He was the new Iron Shiek in ways.  The world has changed since 9/11 and thats how they treated that style of gimmick now.  I hate to sound crude, but Muhammad Hassan's gimmick was a success.

There is nothing crude about it, I loved his gimmick, he played it perfectly, and the 'offensive' stuff he did has been done by Angle or the Undertaker in the past without people screaming about it.  The irony is that it actually IS racism that is forcing him out.

Angle comes out the American hero and can put a mask on and choke people... and no problem.  The Undertaker comes out for years with pseudoreligious emblems, a gang of thugs, and crucify people, and no problem.  This guy does things that only slightly resemble those acts and the sponsors run him right off the show?

And since when do the sponsors determine the direction of the product?  That's a new one for the WWE.

Hassan was the right man for the job.  Its a shame that Vince caved.  I mean come on.  Could you imagine the impact Hassan could have made by winning the gold and carrying it for 4 months or longer.  Take it with him to Japan and everywhere.

Onto other things wrestling.  I personally am enjoying the "shoot" style format of the Matt Hardy return.  Its nice to see a WWE talent who has the opportunity to work Indy shows.  Its going to make Matt Hardy a very 'over' wrestler and may pave the way for a new style of promoting.

Hey look, it's Brian Pillman erm Matt Hardy.

Too bad Matt Hardy only has a fraction of Pillman's charisma, skill, or value.

He's working on it though.  He has better skills than people give him credit for.  You should try to find his match with Daniels in his recent ROH appearance it was good.  Charisma, well he's not had the chance to really try to get with the people yet.  Although you cant argue that he is OVER with the crowd.  How often do you hear the We Want Matt and You Screwed Matt chants?

I agree though, Pillman should be considered a legend in a lot of ways who met a bad end.  Value....  I can't really say Brian had that much Value at the end, but Matt's stock is on the rise.  ;)

Matt Hardy had YEARS to generate some charisma.  Without his brother he was just another Heat jobber.  How many years of prime time television do you think a wrestler deserves without making an impact?  Hardy is past his prime, his prime wasn't great, and now there is no place for him other than as Edge's RL whipping boy.

The writers are going back to the REALLY BAD HABIT they had years ago of trying to cater to the internet smarts.  It didn't work then and it won't work now.  All those idiots ever do is complain no matter what they get... much like any other subject on the internet.

Pillman always had value.  Without him, there would have been no Austin.  He learned and became what would become Stone Cold Steve Austin while travelling the road with Brian Pillman.

He's local to me, and a pretty good guy overall.  I usually see him out at the SuperAuction in Mesquite.

I have never see him wrestle. I quit following that stuff when I was about 12, but it is still pretty popular here in TX.
