Torrent question
« on: July 27, 2005, 12:33:47 pm »
I have been downloading this movie torrent for a long time now, it's at 100% but still is recieving info and won't seem to end. I have had torrents stuck at 99% and could understand that i still need a seeder to finish the file but this thing should be completed if it's at 100, no? This has been going on for about a day at 100%.

Any biright idea's?

Have any anti virus scanners running? I've found that Nortons checks every file downloaded in a torrent session when it completes and the torrent software does not mark it as completed until it is done scanning. Just food for thought.

You big bad movie pirate guy you!  ;D

Nothing else is running, i have been running AVG virus now and then but it's not on now and have had files completed before.

I'll give it some more time see if i can find a program that is blocking it otherwise try to redownload it.

Can't you just open the file and see if it works?
If it's actually only 99.9999%, you could always run it through one of those AVI fixing tools.

Torrents will switch over to seeding when complete. If it's at 100%, then you are uploading the file to other people that need to download. Try closing the torrent, which should have a Finish button instead of Cancel on it, and open the fully legal video file you downloaded.
