Ghost arcade concept, suggestions welcome!
« on: July 25, 2005, 03:46:55 pm »
I am finally starting the real details of my "Ghost" cab and really could use some feedback and suggestions on the artwork as I have never done anything like this before.

My first general concept is a full on green background theme inspired by the matrix cascading character screens from the movie with the Kanji replaced by arcade characters.

Has anyone done something like this before that could give me some ideas?

I think it looks cool, Ghost.

I think if you just said it'd be a ghost/matrix theme I would have said: Huh ???  but I like the mocked-up matrix/ghost screen thing you've got going on there.

No suggestions from me, but I'd be interested in seeing some more as you work on it.

I was thinking of using this as a background around the Bezel and maybe integrated into the sideart.  As I have no experience with vector images - how hard would it be to vectorize a full bitmap image (say 18" x 25") for sideart if I made each of these characters about 1/8 of an inch wide?  Maybe I am going about this the hard way?  Any advice is welcome.

Cheers
