SNK vs. Capcom Chaos
« on: July 25, 2005, 05:04:23 am »
I've heard of many people running SNK vs. Capcom Chaos on their mame emulators using either drivers or a clone version.
I would really like to play this game, and while im not asking for the rom (I can find that myself) I am asking you all HOW I can make this playable on MAME or any other emulator that may be out there.

If you have details of the correct ROMSets please let me know.

PM me if you like..

The game is too new.  It goes against the mame liscense and other emulator developer's consciences to purposefully add this game.

And for the record, it totally sucks anyway.  Another playmore re-hash of old crap with a few capcom characters thrown in.

A lot of the newer games can be played in MAME Plus, MAME Enhanced Edition, or in variants of KAWAKS.

Is there a list or webpage anywhere which details the newer games that can be played on these mame versions?

I suggest a different emulator and a good frontend.  ie: neo-rage comes to mind, MAMEwah should handle it, although i haven't tried yet.  Neo rage x is the gui verson, although support stopped along time ago, seeing as it reached a final version.  Anyway, google is your friend. (your probrably SO tired of hearing that already, arn't you?)  Anyway, when you do find the roms, hears a warning, they are HUGE, hope you can wait.  (got mine from a friend) and on that note, I suggest the svc chaos Plus romset.  Violent ken and zero all around (the only 2 reasons i play the game)

You can get the version I use here:
http://membres.lycos.fr/buddhateamgarden/

Runs all Neo Geo roms, has Kaillera, command.dat support and the RGB Sharp setting (which are all I need).

Well I found svcplus.zip zipeed up with a copy of neoragex - works on that but its no good for my cab project as the emulator is not command line based.

I tried mame32more hacked hawaks but they all report rom errors.

So could someone, for the love of God please PM me with a link to where I can get a WORKING version of this game on a commane line based emulator. or at least how to convert the ROM I already have.

Hey, mame32more is an illegel/unofficial mame built and you are not
permitted to use it. :-\

For a kind information Neogeo/Nebula/Kawaks roms does not fill full
the mame requirements because they are "dycrypted" Sets which are not supported in mame (Officially). :police:

You can convert your neogeo/nebula/kawaks roms to use in mame.

I would like to point out that nebula and kawaks don't support these roms either.  Illegal hacks of those emulators do.

Hmm... this question comes up too often anymore and the moderators don't seem to lock them (like they should).  Perhaps I'll have a chat with some of them later.

I have to go along with the, "why bother" group here.  I have a neo geo setup and I almost paid 50 bucks for it before I played it.  I had a chance to give it a go at a local arcade and I couldn't have been more disappointed.   I love capcom fighting games, whithout them I wouldn't be into the hobby, the game just didn't do it for me.

Mameplus has a gui and command line version in one zip and works with that game. I run mameP on my cab and love it.

(I do agree about not supporting these questions, but at least this one can be searched now and should lower the amount of these threads).
