« on: July 24, 2005, 12:50:50 pm »
On another emulation site i frequent the webmaster has a huge rom list and even sells them to his members  on CD's. He has the full sets of almost every console rom for download and for sale, color me stupid but how does he not end up in jail over this?

He just hasn't gotten caught by the right people yet... it's as simple as that.  Until someone with the power to do something, or the power to directly influence those that CAN do something sees it... he'll get away with it.

first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Why would he - we probably all have the ROMS we need, and Google will do the rest. I just wish StarRoms would get their butts in gear and provide a larger number of legal ROMS. However, their lack of success proves that most of the companies just don't care anymore...

I've set up a trust account for myself, earning high(ish) interest on the $20 I have in the account, so when they unfreeze me in the future, I'll have enough money to buy all the roms in the MAME list.

PM me for details.  :D
Now in a tasty new flavour.

Certainly not - we have the original pcb sitting in the garage...

See? It's right here... Now where did I put that thing?

I think I sent it out to get cleaned, or something...
