Calling all Trekkies!
« on: July 21, 2005, 06:04:46 pm »
For anyone who is interested, I have just created a small fleet of RPG ships and need to recruit. Anyone who wants to be a part of this, whether you have experience or not, go to the following link. It is for the RPG website. from there, you can get to the forum.

I don't know if I'm Trekkie enough to RPG it, but I do have this on my desk at work:

I tried to go to the website, but it wouldn't fully load. When you say RPG do you mean Roleplaying game? And if so, what type?

Oh, OK, I can't do THAT sort of roleplaying. I do the kind where real life people sit around a table. But if we were playing Star Trek I would want to be Bones (or Chekov).

I might rename one of the ships to the USS Doohan, or the USS Montgomery

I'm not real into the whole RPG thing, but as long as we're showing off Trek models, here are a few of the ones I've built:

And several of them are in my office. :)

Wow! You've got all the Enterprises A-D! Are those regular glue together kits or injected resin? I was just at my 3rd convention, got photo signed by most of TNG cast, except Stewart and Wheaton, but including Crosby. The people there were scary though. There was one guy who wouldn't stop talking to me. Another goy whos belly fat was nearly touching the floor. I don't knoe if I'm going to another :o

I went to one once, met Checkov - but yeah there are a bunch of weirdos there. However, is the BYOAC community much different? I bet not, except most of us have been with a woman...

P.S. - Nice models Stingray!

The Enterprise A is a poured resin kit, the others are standard injected styrene kits. I also have NX-01 in resin, but I don't have any pics of  that one. I'm still looking for 1701-E, but those kits bring stupid money. I'm not paying $100 for a box of plastic.

Thanks. Yep I'm a geek. I can live with that.

Bandai sells Enterprise E models for around $50. If I were not planning on putting most of my $ toward MAME, I'd get one. I think it even lights up. I like the Excelsior Class best, though. Thats why its the flagship of my fleet.

All I've got is a model of the Enterprise D that talks. I got it at a convention.

For extra geekiness, I took a photo of my model from when I first built it and merged it with a standard Star Trek backdrop...

(Extra geek points if you can identify the Star Trek planet)
