I'm posting this in here, because I'm not sure if it's a monitor issue or not.

You probably have one or both of the screen adjustment pots on the Video board broken.  We sell replacments.

I replaced the pots.  Still get the same problem.  Not sure what is causing it.  I can see parts of the screen sometimes, and when I move the pots, I can see parts of the screen moving horiz/vertically. 

Any help?  I included pictures of the adapter, pots (replaced) and what the screen looks like.  Thanks!

Try adjusting the Horizontal Hold on the monitor.

if you havent fixed this yet it looks to me as the sync on the monitor maybe in the wrong location or not hooked up...also the horizontal hold maybe out of whack...but i would vberify the h and v sync are setup correctly

Remember Nintendo games output NEGATIVE video signals, not POSITIVE.

Right, I hear it referred to as inverted video too.  Anyway, the adapter he's using (one of mine) already takes care of the color correction and the sound amp.

It was the horizontal hold.

The monitor I was testing it out on still can't get a decent picture.  (its a wells, can't remember what model).

I hooked it up to an electrohome in my other jamma cab, picture came out perfect.  Not sure why the other monitor can't get a clear signal in, but the problem is fixed for now.  I just need to move the shelf mount bracket off the electrohome and put a vertical metal mount so I can get it in the cabinet without sticking out the back.

 (ps, on an unrelated note, I have a mario brothers board that works great, but has a constant high hissing sound through the speakers when I do anything except walk [when I walk it goes away] Just thought I'd ask, since I see mike posted to this, and was wondering if you had any idea what it could be? Hmm, I'd have to see the board, but it could be a bad cap, transistor or even the sound cpu.  Have you tried removing the sound cpu to see if it goes away?
