Don't expect to get great things from the Jen Shinn chassis, some people have had great results from it, others haven't. I have one of these on a 21" monitor in my Space Harrier Sim, although it has got me going again it is nowhere near what I was expecting. Comparing it to the original Nanao chassis it is a poor substitute. This could be down to a numerous amount of different reasons perhaps it just doesn't like my tube. What I have found is the picture goes dark on bright scenes and it's really hard to get it sharply focused across the whole screen. Oh and when the picture goes dark the colours go slightly wacko as well which is a little annoying. I have put this down to it having a weak power supply I had to turn the B+ right up just to get a usable picture and the chassis just about manages to put out about 22-23kv of EHT, this should be nearer 25kv. The EHT also sags a little on bright scenes which would explain why the picture is going dark. In my opinion if the power supply on this was stronger it would probably be the ultimate universal chassis, as apart from it's shortcomings it does work quite well, geometry etc is good and it doesn't need an iso transformer you can stuff it straight into the mains, anything from around 90v to 240v.
