Hankin Cocktail Cabinet
« on: July 19, 2005, 03:43:52 am »
Well finally bought myself a digital camera and put some shots up here of my cabinet. I bought this one for about $60.00 Aus . It was in the corner of a pub and the guy was happy to be rid of it. The controls were pretty trashed and cabinet was getting that way. Fired it up when I got it home (after attaching a couple of wires  ). Low and behold Bombjack sweet one of my favourite games. It stayed this way for a couple of years until the itch came to mame it. I was given a pentium II 466 which had no sound(easy fix) and started stripping the cab.Rewired as Jamma.. New T-mould,repaint, new buttons and joystick.Nice glowing fan which is heat sensored (has nice eerie blue glow coming from the inside ahhh mame) and a powerstrip wired to one switch. Boots up from the outside, coin slot accepts credits and even room for a massive coin box!! Love these Cabs!
Things to do
paint surround of coin mech
piece of tinted perspex
any thoughts would be appreciated!
PS the Donkey Kong machine is original will post more about that later!
just had to show the artwork from the CP havent seen it anywhere else has anyone else come across this?

Here a couple of quick pictures of my Donkey Cocktail. I picked one of these up out of the paper for $30.00 aus not working all complete with game board. Hadi it sitting in the garage then found another one locally identical not working for $40.00. The controls were all rusty etc but I made one good cabinet out of the two just needs a clean up! Notice the blood around Donkey Kongs mouth  "Who turned the blood on" LOL ..and the other cab which I parted is gone, Ran out of room wish I had kept it to do up though! A working cab under $100.00 Bargain!

Yes I Do! I actually had two and sold one with a taito spaceinvaders cocktail cabinet. I also have two crazy kong boards one which I will be keeping and a captain commando. The crazy kong boards need some work does anyone in Aus do that ? Can you put the hiscore save chip on these boards?

Hello Wetworks,

Any chance you could post some dimensions on your Hankin cab? I want to build one and I would sure appreciate it if you could.

Thanks,
