Compaq MV90

I purchased the above mentioned monitor on ebay for $30AUD I am more your casual gamer and just want a MAME machine in the corner for entertaining and the occasional, not wanting to listen to my Girlfriend moments :D

Will this monitor suffice?
Are there any inherant risks with me removing the back plastic case in order to havegive me a little bit more room for fitting it into my machine?

Any tips on removing the back?

Any tips for mounting?

cheers
