VGA to RGB Scart

I've bought an arcadevga card and just made my first attempt at soldering a vga to rgb scart cable which did not go well.
Does anyone know of anywhere to purchase a ready made vga to RGB scart cable that will work for a pal tv?

I wouldn't mind a ready-made VGA to RGB SCART (UK/EURO) cable.

Its the only thing holding me back from purchasing a ArcadeVGA card (any cheaper alternatives?) and hooking it up to my 28" 4:3 Sony Trinitron TV (RGB scart enabled)

I did find this on eBay, I don't know if the SCART cable is composite based or or gives a proper RGB signal but the seller doesn't seem to accept PayPal

My aim is to display games in MAME at close to or at their native resolutions on a TV (low resolution 15 kHz) with no hardware stretching or filtering.

Right, I've actually redone the cable and it works very well indeed.

I'm thinking of getting the one with audio but not sure. Reading a long thread on the avforums, I stumbled across someone stating the price of the cable from keene is

It automatically boots into rgb mode and to the right av channel.
You can only get the arcadevga from ultimarc.
I found out today that I need a service remote to get into the service mode for my tv and I may not be able to buy one which means I'll be stuffed.

The TV will only switch to RGB input if SCART pin 16 receives the correct signal which is 1 to 3 volts. This is why there is a resistor attached to the 5v power supply in the http://www.idiots.org.uk/vga_rgb_scart/ link.

 However with the ArcadeVGA card this can be done by wiring pin 16 and 20 together (RGB blanking and composite sync) without using an external power supply.

 If you want to automatically switch the TV to the AV input you will still need the 12v supply from inside the computer though.

Bummer about the service mode! Have you tried searching the internet for an access code( I've had difficulty getting this sort of information from the manufacturer in the past).

Yeah I've tried and in fairness the manufacturer was pretty helpful but it's a beko chassis and you can only access service mode with the remote.
I'll be giving them a ring on monday to see if they will sell me one but I have seen them on the net for sale  fo rabout
