Japan has at 3 and 5 years if I remember correctly, and its a total inspection, and its really expensive.
Over there, you dont repair cars that have being in an accident, if its more then a bumper or door swap out its generally written off as they have to repair to as good as new etc, so here in NZ we get loads of 3 and 5 year old cars come over, and accident damaged ones that people repair (often not very well) - its all good tho, a good car can be had for under NZ$3000 here with out looking.
