Neighbor Search - Fundrace 2004?

I just came across this.  The stats seem to be a little off.  Not a very comprehensive list, it seems.  What about your area?

Interesting to say the least.  The people that contributed to the democrats live in he older part of my area and the people that gave to the republicans live in the new ($600k+) part of town and they were all "upper management" or business owners.

Kind of scary that info is available online... we had people doing crazy stuff during the last election.  Now the nutjobs can be sure of who "to hit".

I'm not positive, but I think it's from the laws regarding reporting of campaign donations.  I don't know that it's scary that it's available online, because I'd bet it's available by simply requesting it or going to your local library, but putting their actual addresses online I don't agree with.  Make 'em do the work to find out an address, or simply give a name without attaching an address.

There's a guy near me who runs a publishing company that used to keep me employed at a printing company near me.....now, I knew his leanings before this, knew where his offices were, and knew where his house was, but had I not known this, it's darn near impossible to tell there's an actual house on the lot where he is, and who lives there.

My town seems split pretty evenly between D and R, apparently.  Makes sense, formerly low income town that has exploded with new development and real estate tripled in the past ten years.

I see LOTS and LOTS of cases where 2, 3, 4, or more names from the same address made the maximum contribution to a democratic candidate.

Using your office as the address mailed from would cause this.  It happens on both sides of the aisle (I know it's from an office because the folks in my search all worked at the same firm at that particular address)

Just think.  You can donate from one address, and as many alternate addresses that you wish!

Thankfully, McCain-Feingold's reform works so well and we no longer have any reason to be suspicious about these kinds of things! ::)

Yeah, I'm sure all the dirty play is done by one party.
