Photo size for posting?-- arrgghh!!!
« on: July 13, 2005, 10:56:26 am »
Greetings all...I'm trying to post some pics of my latest and greatest project and I can't figure out how to reduce the pic size on my work Mac running OS 9.

Anyone out there know?

Usually I just email them to myself from home (using XP's -- reduce photo size for email)....but I'm having email issues (what a shock...my internet provider sucks).

Any suggestions?....or should I just reduce them at home using a photo shop style program and bring in a disk with them on it?

I must reveal my latest creation!...any suggestions??
Thanks!

Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

Grab a copy of Graphic Converter Classic for OS 9. First thing I do when setting up a Mac for myself or someone else is install this fantastic shareware tool. It can do many of the things that Photoshop can do, and it can import/export just about any type of graphics file. You also have very fine control when you're trying to reduce a file size for this kind of purpose.

When you save as a .jpg check the "save web-ready without resource" box. That will make the file quite a bit smaller without sacrificing any image quality.
