Like i said, Take a jeep, to get a plane, ill make sure your banned, if an admin aint around dont expect to connect next time you come through, youll be gone..
Again, like I said, it's a situational thing.  It actually might be a GOOD thing.

Quote
Sure, your the ONLY GUY there and you take off in a jeep, or Transport heli, and you go do something.. fine whatever, im not saying "sit around and wait to fill it", but if you see someone RUNNING AT THE JEEP, wait for them.. if you hear someone say "REQUSTING A PICKUP" check your minimap, its quite possible there talking to YOU..
Right, what you are describing is a situational thing.  Depending on the situation it may be good or bad.

If a person is taking a jeep to a plane to get in theplane to get to teammates faster I don't see the problem.  However, yes, if someone is requesting a pickup that person should then pickup that person instead with the jeep.  Again, situational thing.

Ok, a good example.  Gazala in BF1942.  If you spawn at the main base there are alot of spawn points all over.  If you don't like flying and spawn near the planes you now have to run up the hill to get to something.  If someone took a jeep to the airfield you'd now have a jeep.  That map is a perfect example where it would be acceptable to do such a thing.  It might not in other maps.  Again, situational thing.

But yes, in many situation taking a jeep just to go across the airfield to get a plane may not be wise.  That would only save about 5-10seconds.  It really depends on what is going on and what is better for the team, not what can get you more kills.

But if oyu know you are on a server where people ban you for such a theing, before oyu take the jeep over there say you are putting it there so people who spawn in have a vehicle.  Then it is understandable.

Woohoo.  I picked up an x45 off ebay that was going cheap.  I thought for a second if I wanted an x52 instead but nah.  The biggest difference is the twist joystick and programmable LED thing.  That's only really helpful in modern flight sim.   Like I said before, I hate modern flight sims.  To me there is no fun in fire and forget missles that you can take down a bogey and not ever see it.

Better check with soapy  :police: to see if that joystick is allowed to be used for piloting the aircraft in BF2.  There might be some inexplicable carebear (WTF?) noobish reason not to use it, or risk ruining his entire existence.

My nick will now be SOAPboynoob whenever I'm playing online.  I'm 100% dedicated to stealing planes, shooting teammates and being an all around jackass.  Why oh why can't I figure out how to pilot the aircraft carrier into the sand bar, or off the map? I'm going to get a pair of flip flops to wear while I'm playing too, just to heighten the experience!  Watch for me, I'll be in the clock tower with the sniper pack!
Hey hey, be nice.  I'm not name calling.  Just pointing out there can be situational advantages to some actions :)

So... I stand next to it.. or do I have to run into it?

Is it just like a 'touch it' thing and it will replenish you?

I play with some close friends almost every night at 8.

We are looking to enter the  CyberAthlete Amateur League Competition (http://www.caleague.com/) and are looking for 4-5 people to complete the 8-man team competition.

We live in the DFW area (South Ft. Worth)

Anyone interested?

Drop me a PM.

As far as using the plane for transportation: don't do it, ever.  If you want to get somewhere faster that's what the jeeps are for.  You leave your team without a jet for up to 5 minutes every time you do this.  That's plenty of time for any decent bomber pilot to crush your entire armor force.

There's nothing more frustrating for me than seeing the SU-25 rack up kill after kill uncontested because Noobie McNoob keeps using our teams' fighter jet as a taxi.
Again, depends upon the situation.  I said a good technique is sniping from ontop of a building.  a great building is one you can duck behind something for cover (like a ledge).  Many of those the only way on top of them is parachute.  If someone is willing to fly me where I need to go I would rather do that, but if not I am going ot take my own transportation.  I've held a check point on my own many times with that technique.

It also depends on map size and team size.  A small team most likely you aren't going to find many people who want to fly so then it isn't tha tbig of a deal.  But if you are on a huge server then yeah, I can see the problem.

I like how you guys assume a noobie is going to do that... :)
It is funny, you wouldn't have had conversations like this many years ago.  I've notice online gaming has become very competitive.  Sorta takes the fun out of it :(
