Need Help: Namco Classics Vol 1 Artwork
« on: July 10, 2005, 04:12:08 pm »
I am in need of some help (I know, in more ways than one). I am hoping someone can assist me in creating artwork for the Namco Classics Vol 1 game. I recently acquired a working board and want to put it in a cabinet with some better artwork than the Namco originally provided (or didn't provide). Every one I have seen has some sort of homemade marquee or one of the standard Namco Classics marquee as pictured below. That really sucks and since it has some of the greatest games on it, deserves more. I am planning on starting with a Namco cabinet style (galaxian.Pac or Ms Pac, whatever I can scrounge up that's already been through a conversion. I'd like to have the artwork depcit both the Originals and maybe some of the arrangement graphics (if possible). The board has 7 games on it. Galaga, Mappy & Xevious as well as 2 player simultaneous versions of each and a Super Xevious.

Here are some samples I found of other work:

Original Namco Marquee:

A Namco Classics Vol2 Mini Marquee: http://thebrokenjoystick.com/pictures/ncv2-art/marquee

The game uses 2 8 way sticks and 2 buttons each. Here's the only thing I found for the Vol 2 art:

Anyone with some cool ideas think they can help?? I have pleanty of arcade parts I could trade for your assistance.

Thanks!

Here's a larger sample of the one on the bottom of the Klov.com page.
There's just a box with an x in it where your marquee example is; could you try upping a sample to the forum?
It doesn't matter if you win or lose....it's how you play the videogame.
