Upgrading To a Newer Version of Mame
« on: July 04, 2005, 07:14:34 pm »
I have MAME .85 and would like to upgrade to the newest possible version. I use MAME32.

How can i upgrade it without having to copy the roms folder, artwork and paste it into the new one?

Whats the easiest way to upgrade?

Simp,y unzip the new version in the ame folder.  That's it, you're done. Some games have changed roms a bit and won't work, but that's true if you copy everything like you mentioned.  You can even rename and keep the old .exe and they'll both work fine.
