It was great until MTV cut away in the middle of Comfortably Numb to more horrible commentary.

the guy who organized this thing should be put before a firing squad and executed for profiting off peoples sympathies for the poor..
i dont think anyone had any idea till it was happening that they meant raising awareness literally..

PS -- These things DO raise awareness. They don't, however, raise enough moolah to make a whit of difference. Does anyone really think the citizens of G8 nations would support a 1% tax on EVERYTHING to fix Africa? We kvetch about prices already.

It wouldn't fix Africa anyway, too much corruption at every level of government.
