how to identify which wire is negative vsyn and negative hsyn

okei i got the colors works, but still i'm not sure which wire is in vsync and hsyn in the vga cable.
INSIDE my VGA cable the wires are
Red with another red within
Green with another green within
Blue with another blue within
Black (ground)
Orange?
White?
Yellow?
The last 3 wires confused me i don't know which is which?
Please help! Thanks

You cannot be 100 percent sure with the remaining wires without using a meter or continuity tester to check which color wire goes back to which pin on the vga connector.  The colors are not the same from cable to cable.

Use this pc2jamma page as a reference and test which color wire goes to the hor and vert sync pins. You could just look inside the connector but most of them are molded and cannot be openned.  So a meter or buzzer or lightbulb and battery is your best bet.
