Some things I would check:

1) Check in the BIOS using a standard video card, and make sure the AGP options are set correctly, and disable any on-board video.    Then, reinstall ArcadeVGA and see if it works.

2) Try updating to the latest BIOS for your model computer

3) The ArcadeVGA card could be defective.  I would try calling Ultimarc to see if they would exchange it.

4)  Go to the tech support for your motherboard, and look up the meaning of the 8-beep code.  Be sure to note any pauses, or if any beeps are longer or a different tone than others.

Do you have a newer or older ArcadeVGA?

How old is the computer?

done all that already. the computer is a good 3 years old.  the arcadevga is new and ultimarc have tested it their end and works fine.  the two computers that i have that have agp slots were identical and it didnt work on either.

What's the speed of the AGP slot on the PC? What's the speed of the video card?

What size is your power supply? Newer cards generally use more power, and manufacturers tend to use the smallest power supply they can get away with.

What computer and or motherboard are you using.

And chipset of the motherboard if you know it.

Also, is the arcade vga the one with 1 or 2 vga ports on it?
