Mame Marquees print? how good is it?
« on: June 16, 2005, 10:07:56 am »
Hey guyz,

Ive just added some plain yellow vinyl self adhesive sticker to my control panel and its very thin and dosent look very good. I just wanted to know does MAME marquees and all the other companies which offer printing for control panels have thick vinyl?

Im looking for a fabric or material that is leather like and a bit thicker than normal self adhesive sticker. Anything like that around? and what exactly is this material called (if its self adhesive it would be better)

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks!

Recently got all my cab artwork from MameMarquees and can't recommend them enough. Scott is extremely patient and helpful and the quality of the print is first class.

Printed on a thick self adhesive vinyl. For the money you can't really go wrong.
I didn't touch it....honest!

Sounds like the stuff Scott prints on is exactly what you are looking for. He's a friendly guy, why not drop him an email as he should be able to give a proper description of the stuff, might even send you a small sample if you ask nicely.

I had sideart printed by Scott at Mamemarquees.com and it turned out great!!. Unfortunately one side of the art has already faded. It is by a window that constantly has the blinds closed. I haven't emailed Scott about it yet, I'm sure he'd cut me a discount on a reprint, but It's sad that the colors didn't last that long,   :'(

It is a total of 11 mils, the main concern should really be the toughness of the laminate and the polycarbonate laminate I use is pretty tough.

And clanggedin, I have a lifetime guarantee on fading... I am not sure how long ago you ordered, but I now print using all pigment inks, so send me an email at scott@mamemarquees.com with what you need and I will ship another out, no charge.

and what vector formats do u accept? and what is the waiting time of the delivery?

PM'd...

In short, yep, use every inch with different images.  I would typically cut the one image out, but if you want multiple images all I ask is that you cut it out yourself. It is not hard, just time consuming to cut out many images.

AI, PSD, or tiff.

Thanks
