HELP!!! centipede cocktail weird stuff
« on: June 16, 2005, 01:41:56 am »
Can anyone help me with this one.  I got a old centipede cocktail with a monitor that is actiing really weird.  First it is not original, there is some burn from another game.  When I turn it on  the some letters are not showing and some of the mushrooms are upside down.  When the game is played the shooter cannot be seen. IT does show the mushrooms getting shot but the score is half mushroom half number.  I since bought a new board and have not seen any improvement.  I have adjusted monitor to see if anything was loose or disconnected?   I am not sure if it is the monitor or something else.  SInce all colors and game look fine, just the shoot seems to not show up at all.  SOund works fine.

Sounds like a board problem, not a monitor problem.
(Monitors cannot filp just certain parts of a game)

Start by checking your voltages, and reseating all socketed chips.

Also, maybe start a thread in rgvac newsgroup.
