Do they still have to pay him, and does the contract count during lockout years?
I've got to hand it to him - he's the only coach I'd put any faith in to get a bunch of self-absorbed criminal-wannabe's to care about working with anyone other than their agent....although they still can't be bothered to think about why Joe Bag-o-donuts can't find it in himself to be sympathetic to the plight of a multi-millionaire who can barely read the contract he just signed.
I stopped watching regularly when defense and/or team play started to become "quaint", and I REALLY stopped watching altogether when high school players were getting drafted and couldn't even figure out how to take care of their own dry cleaning and were simply buying new several-hundred-dollar suits to replace them

The Artest dust-up is an example of fans who think just like me....acting out towards these neurotic crybabies. Phil Jackson would be better suited to coaching high school or college, but the money isn't as good.
