Neo29 to Mame Cab (IMAGE WARNING)

I bought this cab about a month ago from some dude in NY. Originally it had a 2 player, 4 button Neo-Geo setup. Well..we just can't have that for a MAME cab

Another, Also if some of you are wondering why I only have 1 joystick and not 2 is because I'm waiting for another mounting plate from Himura Games, once I get it, I'll just bolt it in  :).

I picked up the same cab from the same guy. I am also looking to convert to a 6 button setup, and maybe add a small trackball if possible. Can you provide a bit more information regarding what joysticks and buttons you purchased from Himura? Also wanted to know how you created the template for the control panel. I am pretty new to the candy-cabs and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

lodown

Hey, Well..I dont think there is room for a trackball, sadly. Also, for the CP, I just traced the original CP with a black perm. marker on welding steel sheet metal, which can be purchased at Lowes. I then made my own Button template in Adobe Illustrator. I can send you the file so you can print it out. You have to be very careful when drilling the holes on this metal, because, when you lay it over the plastic CP, you might have drilled too close to the plastic. Also, regarding Himuragames, the joysticks are the standard sanwas, I used the original mounting plate and drilled holes in the CP for it. It sits really nicely, and the buttons are 30mm Sanwa buttons. Also, the start buttons are 24mm sanwas...you can purchase the 24mm sanwa start buttons real cheap from Richardp171, thanks Paul  ;).
