Anime- Arcade (japanese manga scans wanted*)
« on: June 12, 2005, 02:24:29 pm »
If you havent been on the the art forum lately then you havent noticed the concept art for my next Project attempt, anime-cade (name pending*)

well anyway... I wanted to post a project Thread to get it moving along a bit faster and to grasp new Ideas before constructing the cabinet...

The current cabinet style im going for would be the traditional Midways Mortal Kombat Style, (with modified CP) If you can find the blue prints, or refer a simular style. that would be great! ^.<

The art is pretty much made up right now, if you have More Manga Scans, or even another Idea that would suit the theme please feel free to post... ^.^ ... if anyones seen a Marvel Super Heroes Cabinet they will know where im going with this...

The Buttons + Joystick colors types have not been decided upon yet...

The marquee is extremely undecided... but would like a red + black color scheme...

Heres the artconcepts Ive came up with so far...

NOTE: the red Manga, Will be Included on the Control Panel and Bezel

so far... (in the works!)

i guess all we had time for today was to set up the saw horse and to go out and buy the lumber... but its 96x48 3/4 inch thick plywood, tommorow ill post pics of the sketch on the wood before we cut so you can tell me what'cha think?

please post your best ideas/thoughts (TIPS!) or anything you can think of on painting, T-mold, angles, Cutting out Control Panel, pretty much anything!

Im a complete and rational newbie (with his Father who's familar with many things) but im new to all Building and construction of any kind, All I know is Measure Twice and cut once... I have the materials so Help me out! Dont feel shy/rude to Tell me anything... ^.< lol

Boxtorrents.com has many torrents of different types of manga.  They also have lots of anime too, but if you're looking for scanned in manga, I'd look there.

Be sure to leave your torrent host up and running to share the files after you finish downloading it from them.  They're a bit picky about upload/download ratios.

Bitten by the cabinet bug... obsessing ever since.
