I'd like some input about a situation I've experienced.

I want to get some feedback, preferably your first instinct on something that happened recently... Heres the deal.

Six months ago, I find a guy on eBay selling an AstroCity arcade cabinet (it's a sit-down arcade cabinet usually called a 'candy cab') like this:



He was selling them (with a game PCB in them) for a REALLY great price, which was $350, plus shipping. They usually sell for about $500 without a game in them. The thing is, this guy has over 100 plus positive feedback on eBay, and has sold lots of machines just like it, and different from it since we spoke... So there's little chance the guy's a scammer.. I even talked to a couple of his past customers. All give me raving reviews about him. Long story short; I paid him in December, and have had to wait until this week to finally get a delivery date. Something ALWAYS came up with this guy's driver(s).

So, I finally get a delivery date of "Thursday afternoon for sure, it's on its way already, he's about 10 hours from Austin right now". Thursday afternoon comes, and I call him, wondering where the driver -who was supposed to call me on Wednesday- is...

"Hes in your area, I know that for sure.. The previous delivery in Brownsville (six hours from Austin) got his machine yesterday, so I'm sure he's there and will probably show up sometime this afternoon/evening."

Thursday afternoon/evening comes... and goes. I email him last night letting him know I STILL haven't gotten my machine.. and I get THIS reply...

John! your not going to believe this ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- , our driver is in jail in tx for drunk driving on a suspended lic. going to court monday. machines and truck were impounded . i can refund you or we can wait and see what happens monday when he sees the judge. wow i cant believe this ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- i am so sorry thats why he couldnt call . let me know if your willing to wait untill monday. Um... Yeah. So the driver is in jail, waiting on his court date.

I just emailed him and told me to send me my refund, because I'm tired of waiting on this thing, especially since I should have had it SIX MONTHS AGO.

Anyway.. so what do you guys think? Crock of poopie, or just really bad luck?

I would have to say crock. It's been 6 month for god sakes....why didnt he put the auction up later if he wasn't able to deliver? You never know, but thats my two cents!

yep, id try him on the refund asap. and if he doesnt do it pronto, report him
