.FLAC is a lossless audio codec. Your media player would need to have it installed to play the file, but there are third-party applications that will converter them to MP3, although with lossy compression. Unless your an extremist audiophile, I'd just convert them to .mp3's at 160kbps or 192kbps....you can't really tell the difference, unless you've got $1000's of dollars of audio equipment.
