Molotov Cocktail
« on: September 29, 2005, 09:26:55 pm »
Its a start...kinda.
With my first project I didn't make an announcement here.  With my second, I threw it together after I was finished.  This time I will try to document the process here as it goes along.
Whats done so far?  My custom made led board with power distribution blocks!
I really wanted to just buy the one from gamecab but it wasn't quite what I wanted.  I want to use it to switch on and off the trackballs or spinners based on which game is selected instead of lighting leds, so I didn't want any built in resistors.  I also wanted 5v and 12v power distrubution blocks to power the various things in the cocktail.  So I bought some pcbs, etching supplies, and the hardware and gave it a go.  Turned out really well.  It was tedious but certainly not difficult.
Who knows when anything else will get done as I'm actually kind of broke right now. :'(  I would have to sell my previous project if I wanted to start a new one.  :-\
