My first cab, nominating myself

Okay, I agree it would be better to have someone else do this but this cab did win a Mamey 3 or 4 years ago and it was my first attempt.  All handpainted artwork.  Now belongs to a friend and still going strong.

Handpainted?  I'm impressed.  Did you get some scans of the originals to trace?

Cheers,

Sort of reminds me of an Ultracade, not in the "it sucks" way but in the artwork department.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

This cab was my first.  I finished it about 4 years ago. I enlarged images I found on the net using a poster program.  Tapped them in place and used an exacto knife to score through the paper while tracing the general outline of each image.  Then I used a pencil to trace over the scored lines and began painting checking the original often to ensure things were going well.  It took months to complete and I did it during the evenings when my kids went to bed.  It amazing how relaxing a little painting can be.

Man I hope you covered that artwork with something.  I'd feel the need to stand next to it every time someone approached it if I hand painted like that.
