dc display problems
« on: May 30, 2005, 02:55:53 am »
hey all,

when i insert Third Strike in my dc hacked for an arcade monitor, all i see is black. i hear the music and all, just no display.

when i insert street fighter alpha 3, it just keeps resetting to the dreamcast logo.

all other games, including capcom vs snk 2 work fine.

any ideas?

thanks.

SF3 3rd Strike is RGB protected (disabled RGB support, it will only work with composite or s-video).  You have to find an iso image (or make one yourself) and then apply the RGB fix/patch (http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_patches_s.shtml).

Looks like SF3 Alpha has a similar patch.
