Technological breakthrough for gaming!
« on: May 29, 2005, 04:09:45 am »
Ok so my cabs are in a non working state at present. Arcade 360 is being rebuilt and will be a Mortal Kombat 1 replica one day. And Street Fighter is a work in progress as you can see from the first picture. So I'm itching for some retro gaming. I knocked this baby up in an hour this Sunday afternoon (second picture). T-Stick Plus, IPAC and a couple of buttons. Wahoo, I can play again, lol. Wow feels like an age since I posted in "Project Announcements".

A perfect example of form following function.  Very nice.

Just watch out for splinters.   ;)

I'm in Hamilton. I noticed you were from kiwiland the other day.
Yeah it's a cool little cab. The guy on Trademe advertised it as a non working 19" screen SF 2 cab. I went to see it and it was Street Fighter Zero 2, a whole 5 years later, with a 26" screen and a faulty flyback that was arcing across the back of the tube. The cab was in mint condition and I paid him $161! . It will cost me about $100 to fix it and it will end up being worth around $800-$1000. The only thing I've done so far is replace the joys with comps, clean it out and replace the buttons and a few microswitches. My best arcade bargain ever. Currently fixing the tube and then it's all go. Needs a new marquee but i have a graphic thanks to a fellow BYOACer.

Well hardly surprising that you've never seen one, it's a one of a kind. It looks like it does at the moment because I git bored and decided to build a MK1 replica cab out of the parts this one is made of. So at the moment it is a work in progress. If you want to see Arcade 360 in all it's glory, check this link.

Where are you from, again? Last time I checked, this was illegal just about everywhere. Plus to post pictures? That's just sick.
