But the Sega Saturn Nights controller actually has a decent feel to it.  It fits in your hands comfortably.

Except that it is NOT!!!

:P

It is not very comfortable to hold while using the dual shock's analog sticks, which are placed HORRIBLY.

Playstation controller is awefull, the cone shaped handles mean that if you squeese, the damn thing pops out of your hands, its too small overall.

I prefer the first big xbox controller, but it seems they are hard to get now and my last one has just died :(

Heh the guy forgot the original design for dual analog PS1 controller.  The one right before the dual shock ;)

I personally like the Dual Shock design and it fits comfortably in my hands.  The old fatty xbox controller should definitely stay in its little room under the stairs.

Indeed.
I personally think that the GC controller is the best design so far.

I agree.  Gamecube is my favorite, followed by the MadCatz Microcon Xbox controller.  I've never liked Playstation's and I still find myself having a hard time remembering which button is which when I haven't played in a while.  Naming the buttons after shapes instead of letters or numbers was stupid.

And yeah....the analog sticks on the PS controllers are horribly placed.  PS3 looks like it will improve, but not eliminate that limitation.

My favorite is also the large Xbox controller.  But I have RA so my opinion is skewed a bit.  It is ultra comfortable to play with.

I also always loved the original NES controller.  That thing was indestructible!
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

Ooh! I hadn't seen those PS2 RetroCon controllers before. Might be something worth picking up for a more authentic feel when playing emulated stuff on the PS2. I can't find anywhere that sells them though  :(

I bought 2 of the Retrocons at Best Buy a while ago for $5 each, and they do have a great nostalgia to their feel, but the D-pads on them are pretty junky. I think they are analog, and they do not offer up a nice quick response sometimes.

I have PS2->Xbox adapters that I use for them, so I can use em on all the great emulators on Xbox. It almost feels like I am playing on the original systems, then I realize I haven't had to blow on a cart in years. :)

Ha, ha, Atari CX40 at the top of the tree. ;D They are going back into production when the new mini 2600 comes out later this year.

I think the XBOX S controllers are my favorite.  Everything just kinda lines up when I handle one.  The white and black buttons can sometimes seem not to be placed well but usually they're used for things like changing your cammera angle and suck and you wouldn't want to accidentally hit them anyways so I guess it's a good thing.

I did once see a third party xbox controller that had white and black in a position that they should be called Z and C ala. Genesis and it sure would come in handy for playing emulated Genesis on the xbox, but alas, I have big plans for a universal adapter to use NES,SNES,Genesis and Atari 2600 controllers with so I didn't buy it.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

This is a great idea, cos there is no one perfect controller for every single game.  8)

Thanks!  They rang up 4.99 here but I'm not complaining.  Score!
