My marquee backdrop
« on: May 26, 2005, 06:27:21 pm »
Well, I'm making progress on my arcade machine art! Originally for my marquee's backdrop, I was going to use a starfield image I found on the web. But I was never quite satasfied, because I knew it was low-resolution, and I would have prefered to use something I made myself. But then I found a great online tutorial to make my own starfield that looks just as good, and today I put the finishing touches on it. I'm very pleased with how it came out. :)

The tutorial can be found here.

Below, you'll see my finished marquee, as well as a sample of it at a higher resolution (72 DPI), which should appear to be about the size that it will appear when it's printed, depending on what size monitor you have. The full sized version of the image is 300 DPI, so it should look quite nice when it gets printed. :)
