Need small bitmap vectorized
« on: May 26, 2005, 10:29:25 am »
I need to have this image vectorized.  I would be happy to trade this service for some parts (you pay shipping if it is large at all).  Here is what I have:

* Lots of tinted plexi, none is perfect, but it is all decent.
* pinball lockdown bars (cut the corners off and make "pinball corners" like that one guy did on his big mame cabinet).
* used and abused buttons
* coin mechs
* some random switches and coin door parts

Here is the image.  I am having it professionally printed, so it needs to be just about perfect (it is small... so absolute perfection is not necessary).  So a couple of quick revisions may be necessary.

* The upper part of the letters is a dark purple (the image is probably a little too dark currently

* the background is all clear/uncolored, but the background of the text (lower portion of the gradient) is WHITE

* the flaw in the lower right hand corner which is accented with a red dot, is okay (a hole goes here).

* the gradient doesn't have to be EXACTLY like the scanned image, but it should be so close that it isn't noticable.  For example, you can use a built in dotted gradient pattern if your image program has that.

Thanks,
Wade

not looking for much...i just enjoy tring to help people. if you have a t-stick plus or a hand full of buttons that would be fine. also, on your image i have a few questions.

1. the image was not scanned in straight...do you want me to clean things up and straighten the letters out?

2. i know you said the upper part of the letters are a dark purple. however, there is some pink that may have just been a glitch but i need to know if you want it in there (my opinion would be no).

3. do you want the outline of all of the letters to be in black?

If you can straighten it up pretty easily, then yes.  If not, it looks straight enough for me (the original might not have been perfectly straight, either).

This is only about 6" wide when printed.  So minor imperfections aren't going to be very noticable anyway.  However, we want it to be a quality reproduction when looked at by critical eyes, because I might have a small run of these reproduced (this plastic is usually broken on this game and is VERY hard to find).

The pink appears to be a screening alignment problem (one of the colors used to make the purple), but there is no way for me to know for sure.  So please include the hot pink as well.  We basically want to duplicate the original as much as possible... even if the original was flawed. :)

Yes, the outline of the letters should all be in black.

I don't have a T-stick plus.  I do have some buttons.  I will send some pics so you can pick what you want.  A lot of my buttons are used and don't look that great.  I do have a few brand new ones though.

TTYL, and thanks! :)
