Weirs Beach NH
« on: May 23, 2005, 11:30:58 pm »
Just about every summer while growing up I would go to NH to visit family and friends (Dad's side of the family is from Laconia).  My favorite part of these trips was going to Weirs Beach with its arcade.  Just curious as to how many people here went to this arcade in the early 80's.

Not I.  I didn't discover FunSpot until '03.  Now I try to go whenever possible.

I went once around the time when they released Dragon's Lair. That's where I played it for the first time. Also played Krull, Mr and Mrs pacman pinball, and some older 70's games.

What an arcade. It sounded like all the games had their volume levels to max.

NO MORE!!

Thats the first place I saw Dragon's Lair myself.  I remember that they put that extra screen up above the machine so everyone in the arcade could see it.

First time I saw Dragon's Lair was also in NH, but at Canobie Lake... they had that second monitor so people could watch, but were charging a FULL DOLLAR to play it.
