for those who have seen the System floating around online, or dont even know that E3's already upon us...... (thats it) The revolution..but what whats been on my mind is... controller? and some people believed that Revolution would be a VR helmet just like /sequel/ Virtual boy, and alot of ppl were disapointed that they didnt reveal their gameplay, and have the entire system under heavy wraps...

but just because the system looks as it does means nothing without a means of playing/seeing it... it would very well be anything imaginable! the only thing they mentioned about the controllers were Wireless, free online, and who knows...

(which makes perfect sense because of their Wavebird on Gamecube)
For all we know it could be a whole new way to see the game as well... since Nintendo didnt show any gameplay, or even trailers, meaning their would be only one way to play....

on the other hand it could be a controller with a Touch screen... (which is most averagely expected)and for all we know it may very well be a sim-like sequel to VirtualBoy, ^.<

Nintendo also commented that their system would have no trouble competing against Graphics, (Since begining 360 stuff is very simular to its Predocessor the X-box) Are these systems even changing much? and the revolution would be 2-3times better than the gamecube...

on another un-related note what was with PS3's trailers? you could not tell if they were all pre rendered or gameplay... no health bars on screen or anything???

...also stated they would be revealing their Controllers and info later... maybe Tommorow?  ^.<

The New GBA Micro... is so cool and reminds me of one of the little Crappy Neo-pets my girl freind is obsessed with, ^.^ ...women...

I don't understand the GB micro at all.. I just don't get the point.

I've seen all 3 press conferences, and the Revolution really failed to wow me at all.  Total lack of info.  As you said, no gameplay, no controller, no firm commitments... I was very very surprised since I'm used to Nintendo throwing out a few surprises every E3.

All I know now is that it is tiny, and I can buy 20 year old NES titles.... not enough to sell me on the system just yet.  I hope the next few days sees a lot more info released, but I'm not sure.

I will say though.. I think the Revolution looks the coolest of the 3 new systems.  It is very sleek, and looks damn cool.

Oh, and about the PS3 stuff, and whether its rendered or real time:  You're looking at PRE-ALPHA code here.... there is no HUD yet.. no health bars, etc.  Whether it is rendered or real time is still up for debate, but the lack of health bars means absolutely NOTHING.
first off your and idiot

GB Micro - novelty, costs very little to manufacture and they're not looking to make real money on it.  If it helps sell 1% more systems, that is 1% more people buying games for a fading system.  Games are where the $$ is.

Nintendo doesn't have to do much to keep me happy.  As long as they continue to come out with Zelda games for their consoles I will continue to buy them.

That's a lot of why I keep buying Nintendo and don't have a PS2 or Xbox.  I don't like violent games, I like the Mario franchise, I like platformers.  I like kids' games too, I can play them (gasp) with my kids.

From the looks of it Nintendo isnt really going for the kid thing no more... its stepping up, and i think its majorly because of Reggie that they got this far with the DS,

how many people were shocked when they hired an aggressive buisnessman at nintendo? but then again its been in development since the release of the Gamecube...

hey he was right about the battery life for the PSP, now i believe hes going to be right with the X-box 360... he could convince anyone anything...man that guy is Huge!...

I'm agreeing with the guys on G4....I believe nintendo just doesn't have anything to show yet....as for the controllers....I've heard everything from touch screens to internal gyroscopes...meaning you just tilt the controller to move your character.....interesting....

Shigeru Miyamoto: [Laughs] You're doubting me, aren't you? I can see that you're over there mistrusting my word. I understand. [Laughs]

Of course. It's set in stone. It has been determined. I'd love to show it to you. I'd love to be able to show you the features of the Revolution controller and tell you about them. However, unfortunately if we do that too early those ideas would be stolen. We know that from past history. Analog stick. Boom - gone. Rumble Pak. We bring it out and everybody has to have rumble. We got the wireless out first and now there's wireless everywhere. So we have to keep it under wraps.

Personally, I have a feeling that it will in fact be a touchscreen controller.  The DS was probably just a test system to see how it would work in a game environment.  The controller will probably swap button layouts similar to those 100 dollar remotes that are out there.  The thought does worry me simply because you will lose the feel of the buttons.  It wont have the same effect.

I could be totally off base and in a lot of way I hope I am.

Maybe it will be a touchscreen that the face can be raised in certain areas. That way you would still have the feel of buttons, but the layout could be changed.

i dont think it would be under so much Survalence if it was something they already brought forward (touch screen w/ :DS)

I really think its going to be something you couldnt ever think of before, they wouldnt hide it away if it was indeed already a part of the DS hardware...

i also believe they are striving for complete innovation and will not release this invention untill the Xbox 360, and the PS3's actual Controller's and Accessories are officaly released because of Originallity... or maybe today... ^.<

Come on Nintendo...

sorry man, but it's just going to be a controller.  Maybe a touch screen section to have different button layouts and such, but I love the blogs online and people like yourself who think this controller is going to be something out of this world.

Think of it from a business standpoint... it is not going to be a pair of gloves with VR goggles and touch screen panels that have a built in hologram display.

No one will buy a $100 controller for a system, and Nintendo knows this.  They also won't throw all kinds of technology into a controller so that they can lose money on it.

It'll be an evolution of all previous controllers, it wont be a revolution. (pun intended)

You know why I personally think they are hiding it....  because they probably havent decided on the final design.  ;)

Hey Chad...dude, I would buy that controller setup.  a 100 bucks with a built in hologram generator, dual powergloves, AND a VR Headset....outstanding...  ;)

then care to explain why you think nintendo is hiding it?

One of two reasons (or more likely both)

1) It isn't complete and ready to be shown yet

2) Nintendo is NOTORIOUS for not showing their hand until at least the year of release, if not even later.  As a self-proclaimed fanboy, you should know that ;) hehe.

I need to see things to draw conclusions.  On other boards I read, and this one to a smaller extent, all the Nintendo fanboys are saying "they aren't showing it cuz its the bestest superest most greatest controller EVAR!!!!1one!!"  when in fact they have no frggin idea what it is.

I'll make my opinions on it when I see it, and more importantly, when I use it myself.  Until then, all this talk of Nintendo having the best controller is asinine... how do you know? You have no idea what it is.. heh.

lol, the best controller?  ;D no one ever said that?... we just want to know what they are upto... for all you know it could not be a controller at all... you are very Doubtful of nintendo arent you?

you think they never had wireless prototypes before Gamecube?... heh... you believe what you want, but i never saw nintendo to be a disapointment from their word, the japanese have too much respect for themselves + the company... the only disapointments i can remember were the shock of Celda (still a good game) and this years E3 presentation, but it still got me looking forward...

and would you please do me a favor and quit quoting every post i put out? the pain..

I mean for example... I told someone that the PS3 would be out Spring 2006 expected by sony,

you then comment its
Quote
official sony will release it by spring 2006
???

come on? now you believe that I think the Nintendo has the bestest controller? (i havent even seen/heard/know the thing?)

If this is about the Post about the cartridges being backwards compatible forgive me, but i was in a sense, right... so 0% was kinda... misleading...

in the end people can say whatever they want by right of opinion, and i say nintendo has something under their sleeve...

no no, as I said, on other forums I was reading posts by people claiming that it would be the best ever when they had no info on it.. it wasn't directed at you.

I'm quoting you cuz you are one of the few people constantly talking about it.

I have no problems with Nintendo, or any company really.. I have all 3 systems and enjoy them all a great deal.  I just need info to base my opinons on, and thus far, Nintendo hasn't given us a whole lot.

We don't know specs, we have little if any game movies.. even prerendered stuff.  We have no controller, no set online plan.... basically just very little info... yet I've already read huge Nintendo fans (not you) saying it'll destroy everything, and I can't help but laugh.

I just don't get how some people can be so in love with Nintendo that they'll follow them to the depths without getting any info at all heh :)

Don't take it personally... a little debate never hurt anyone.

Me quoting you was simply confirming what you said.

You said "expected" which lends an air of uncertainty.  I simply said Sony's own press conference said the release would be Spring 2006.  My quote was more for the original question than your statement.

i personally can't wait to see what kind of controller they come out with...since you may be able to play older games from nes, snes and n64 (selling point for me  ;)) i think it'll be interesting to see what they can come out with....adaptors for using the old controllers would sound nice to me though.

ya, I couldnt believe my eyes when G4said that the Top 4 most anticipated Games/Systems for next year were in this order

1. PS3

2. Nintendo's Revolution?

3. Xbox 360

4. Zelda: Twilight Princess

I mean nintendo didnt even reveal half of the aspects of their system yet?

yeah, these standings are taking from the G4TV site Poll and are  from the fans and Spectators of E3
